Flower Pressing for the DIY Bride
A Flower Pressing & Preservation Workshop:
Hosted by Honest Desires Farm at Honest Bloom Studio, this private bridal party, bachelorette celebration, or DIY bride’s workshop is the perfect gathering for those wanting to preserve the beauty of wedding blooms and create treasured keepsakes with loved ones.
During this hands-on, fun, creative workshop, you and your crew will learn how to:
- Select the best flowers for pressing or drying.
- Properly handle and prep flowers for preservation. How to get the most from your bouquets!
- Understand the differences between pressing and drying techniques.
- Explore creative ideas to transform your preserved flowers into meaningful botanical art after the big day and discover some helpful tips and tricks.
Each guest will receive a traditional, personal flower press to take home ($100 value), and we’re happy to collaborate with your florist of choice or recommend local flower farms that offer wedding blooms to get some experience pressing real flowers.
This is more than a class—it’s a core memory-making moment with your favorite people before the “I do’s,” filled with creativity, connection, and the joy of preserving what’s most meaningful.

Pressed Flower Summer Workshop
A Pressed Flower Summer:
Join Honest Desires Farm and Honest Bloom Studio for a summer-long Pressed Flower Workshop!
Experience the art of flower pressing in an hour-long monthly class, where you'll pick fresh blooms, learn preservation techniques, and create a stunning project with your pressed flowers at the season's end. From July to September, these classes are designed to inspire your creativity and connect you with nature. The final project will be completed in early October, marking a memorable conclusion to the experience.
One mini flower press is included in the price; additional flower presses and supplies are available for purchase separately. Additionally, guidance is provided on sourcing or making a flower press in the first class. It is recommended to have two presses for an optimal experience. A one-time makeup session is available should illness or travel prevent you from attending your monthly workshop. Please contact the farm to schedule a makeup date.
