• Stall or Pasture Board: Depending on your preference, your miniature horse or pony will have access to a stall or pasture.
• Feed and Supplements: We provide twice-daily hay feedings and fresh water, and we can also feed the grain and supplements you provide.
• Daily Turnout: Pasture turnout is available depending on weather and pasture conditions, with controlled access to prevent overeating.
• Blanketing Services: Available for an additional $15 a month, especially for those needing extra care.
• Enrichment: Mineral blocks, loose minerals, and brush stations for itching and grooming.
• Security: Security cameras around the property to keep a watchful eye on your animals.
• Farrier and Veterinary Care: Assistance with routine farrier and vet visits if proper notification is given.
• Personal Storage: Individual storage totes for your personal items and equine supplies.
• Access to Walking Paths: Private walking paths in our woods for bonding with your animals.

Yes, at Honest Desires Farm, we do offer a discount for owners who board more than one miniature horse or pony. This helps encourage multiple horse ownership and provides cost savings. For specific pricing and details, please contact us directly. We're happy to discuss your needs and provide tailored information. We also offer a discount on board in exchange for work around the barn. These opportunities are extremely limited. 

Honest Desires Farm provides twice-daily hay feedings and fresh water, available daily and as needed. We also offer grain and supplement feeding services if you provide the necessary feed. We provide minerals and salt. We aim to ensure your miniature horse or pony receives a balanced and nutritious diet tailored to their needs. 

At Honest Desires Farm, we welcome you to bring your own feed and supplements, at your expense, for your miniature horse or pony. However, we ask that you inform us on our contract of any specific dietary needs or restrictions your animal may have so we can ensure they receive the appropriate care and nutrition. 

At Honest Desires Farm, we clean stalls daily to ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for your animals. Pastures are maintained regularly, with tasks such as mowing, manure removal, and checking for any hazards to keep the area safe and enjoyable for your horses and ponies. 

At Honest Desires Farm, we encourage you to partner with a vet for emergencies and general health concerns. We use Tri-County Animal Clinic. For hoof care, we have an Amish farrier available, or you can arrange your own. All vet and farrier services are at the cost of the boarder. With proper notice, we can assist during routine farrier and vet visits. 

When filling out your boarding contract, you will specify your vet and emergency contact. We will follow your instructions; however, if you can't be reached, we will act in the best interest of your animal at your expense. 

We require current health and vaccination records for all horses boarded at Honest Desires Farm. This includes proof of core vaccinations (such as Eastern/Western Equine Encephalomyelitis, Rabies, Tetanus, and West Nile Virus) and any additional risk-based vaccinations appropriate for your horse's health and travel needs. We also require a negative Coggins test result for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA). You must disclose if your horse has come from out of state, recent fairs/shows, or been exposed at any other boarding barn contagious illnesses. 

At Honest Desires Farm, we carefully manage social interactions to ensure a harmonious environment for all our animals. We monitor the horses and ponies closely during turnout and pasture time, gradually introducing new arrivals to the group. This helps minimize stress and establish positive relationships. Additionally, we provide ample space and resources, like multiple feeding and watering stations, to reduce competition and encourage natural, peaceful interactions. We also ensure that all animals are trained successfully to electric fencing and are respectful of fences before pasture turn out.

Yes, at Honest Desires Farm, we have specific breed and size restrictions for boarding. We only board ponies and miniature horses. We do not accept full-sized horses, stallions, or foals. These guidelines help us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all our boarders. 

You are welcome to bring visitors and guests to visit your animals. For large groups, please notify us in advance. All visitors and guests must be under your supervision, and children cannot be left unsupervised at any time. Please remember that this is our family home, and we want to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone. 

Yes, at Honest Desires Farm, there are additional costs for extra services like grooming or training. These services are tailored to meet the specific needs of your miniature horse or pony and are priced accordingly. Please contact us for detailed information about the fees and available services. 

Currently, we do not have public restrooms at Honest Desires Farm. However, we do have plans to add this facility in the future. In the meantime, there are public restrooms available in town at local businesses a few minutes away.
