Join Honest Bloom Studio for a cozy, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of flower preservation in the charming atmosphere of The Honey Bee Bakery.

This beginner-friendly experience is perfect for anyone curious about the art of preserving blooms. Artisan farmer Lauren Klouda will guide you through flower pressing and drying techniques while you enjoy the welcoming café ambiance.

Each guest receives:

• A travel-size flower press to take home
• Fresh flowers to practice pressing
• Printed worksheets for easy reference and note-taking
• Expert instruction and tips from Lauren

Arrive early to grab your favorite drink or pastry—class begins promptly at 6:30 PM!   The Honey Bee Bakery offers a delicious selection of hot coffees, baked goods, and vegan & gluten-free treats available for purchase.   Please note: Bakery items are not included in the workshop fee.

During this hands-on, botanical workshop, you and your crew will learn how to:

• Select the best flowers for pressing or drying
• Understand the differences between pressing and drying techniques
• Properly handle and prep flowers for preservation
• Preserve your special occasion bouquets
• Press real flowers in your heirloom, quality presses
• Explore creative ideas to transform your preserved flowers into heirloom keepsakes and botanical art after the big day

Each guest will receive:

• A traditional, personal flower press to take home ($100 value)
• Real flower bouquets to press and dry during the workshop ($40 value)

We’re happy to collaborate with your florist of choice (may include an additional fee) or provide the flowers to practice pressing.

You’ll be guided through the process of shaping delicate, petal-like layers using fine Italian crepe paper and assembling a full light fixture that includes:

You’ll learn how to craft a delicate paper flower and combine it with a curated selection of real dried botanicals to design a one-of-a-kind arrangement under glass.

Each participant will leave with a completed cloche—a timeless piece that captures the elegance of nature and the charm of handcrafted detail. 

All materials, including a glass dome, dried flowers, and paper flower supplies, are provided.

Create a stunning, nature-inspired wall piece in this hands-on workshop where you'll design your own floral panel using bunches of dried flowers and a chicken wire base. 

This creative process allows you to explore texture, color, and composition as you fill your panel with seasonal botanicals to reflect your personal style.

Each participant will receive a wire frame to create a chicken wire panel and access to a curated selection of dried flowers grown and harvested at Honest Desires Farm & other local farms. 

You'll be guided through techniques for layering, securing, and arranging your florals to build a one-of-a-kind botanical display.

All materials are provided. You’ll leave with a finished floral panel ready to hang and enjoy.

Join Honest Desires Farm and Honest Bloom Studio for a summer-long Pressed Flower Workshop!

Experience the art of flower pressing in an hour-long monthly class, where you'll pick fresh blooms, learn preservation techniques, and create a stunning project with your pressed flowers at the season's end. From July to September, these classes are designed to inspire your creativity and connect you with nature. The final project will be completed in early October, marking a memorable conclusion to the experience.

One flower press is included in the price, with additional flower presses and supplies available for purchase separately. Additionally, guidance is provided on sourcing or making a flower press in the first class. It is recommended to have two presses for an optimal experience.  A one-time makeup session is available should illness or travel prevent you from attending your monthly workshop. Please contact the farm to schedule a makeup date.
